The time she spent with us beforehand was excellent preparation for the unknowns in this process, her availability and advice in the two days immediately leading up to the birth was invaluable, and her calming presence throughout labor and delivery was a crucial component to helping us have a great birth experience, even when things didn't go as we had hoped and planned for. Heidi listens well (a skill we both highly valued) and is calming and reassuring, friendly and personable, and knowledgeable and passionate about being a doula.
