At first, I was skeptical about getting a doula for the birth of my wife’s and my daughter. However, after meeting Heidi for the first time, I was certain that Heidi was someone that I to be part of the team that was going to help give my wife the natural childbirth she wanted. Leading up to the birth, Heidi helped up prepare for the big day by using creative simulation exercises to ensure we were comfortable with the decisions we could be faced with during labor and delivery. Once my wife went into labor, Heidi dropped everything to be by our sides and help coach us through the early stages of labor. Heidi’s confident, yet compassionate guidance ensured my wife’s labor stayed on track and never stalled out, all but guaranteeing the natural child-birth she desired. After our daughter was born, and up to this day, Heidi has been available for any questions and ease any worries that we have had, no matter how small. If we decide to have another child, without a doubt, we will again ask Heidi to be our doula.
