Let's start from the top.
From the moment we walked into our first Hypno Birthing class I fell in love with Stephanie. Her genuine ora instantly made me feel comfortable and warmly welcomed. She is extremely educated and informed but not only textbook, but from within the heart and soul. Every week, every class, every text message and every hug made me know that my pregnancy, labour, and 4th trimester was going to lead me into a happy growing family life. And it was exactly that.
Attending those Hypno Birthing classes I was able to form a deeper bond with my man, as well as our growing baby, and myself. I understood exactly what was happening inside my body and mind and how to connect with not only my own body but also with baby. I learned how to show gratification towards me, baby, and dad. I felt peaceful throughout my pregnancy and when I was almost 2 weeks overdue Stephanie was still there keeping my mind calm, my heart full and emotions in tact.
As I went to the hospital to be induced she was still there, in the pit of my stomach, more calming than an IV of lavender to the veins. My labour couldn't have been better. It was the perfect birth story. We watched football, and movies and listened to music between the contractions, I laughed and smiled and was excited for my life to change. I never forgot Stephs voice in the back of my head reminding me of my birth colour, the waves, and how good it felt to breathe deep. Induced at 6pm, active labour at 8:30pm, baby girl born at 11:11pm, home by 7am.
Instantly, she was perfect. Latched great, slept even better, and never cried. Here we are almost 6 months later and still just as perfect. Every ounce of me believes that it wouldn't have turned out this way without Steph. Steph kept my mind so positive and realxed during the most intense and scary part of my adult life. She reminded me with her ora that everything will be okay and guess what, she was right.
