My wife and I loved having Jessica with us for our entrance into parenthood! She is so knowledgeable, kind, chill, reassuring, and an excellent listener. Honestly there aren't enough nice things we can say about our experience working with her.
As the (then) father-to-be, I appreciated how Jessica could provide so much support for my wife that I couldn't (since I've obviously never given birth). She has an element of calm about her, coupled with her vast experience that you can't put a price on! I can't imagine what our experience would have been like without her.
From being there for us in the days leading up to the birth with great advice when we were well past due, to making us feel confident in our decision making, to her ability to normalize all the twists and turns of labour and birth, then staying with us in the hospital while we waited, and being there for the first feeding. We are truly grateful! Thank you, Jessica!
After the arrival of our beautiful daughter, knowing she was there to help us adjust and set us on our path was a great feeling. We were able to learn so many little tips and tricks, and we felt that we could ask her anything no matter how small or stupid it may have sounded to us at the time. The feeling of knowing she’d be there if we needed her was such a relief!
If you're wondering if you should get a doula, you should. It takes a huge load off at an already crazy, stressful time in life. If you're wondering if you should use Jessica, ABSOLUTELY!
