My husband and I were fortunate enough to have our son and our baby girl both born with Kelly at our side. I could not have done it without her! Each experience was completely different, and her skills and expertise were needed at both. Most recently, I returned from being overseas for my job with complications. Kelly was the first person I contacted to start helping me with my return and preparations for the birth of our baby girl. I was a mess when I was told that our baby had basically stopped growing at 37 weeks. Being the caring and professional Doula that she is, Kelly arranged everything--from my healthcare for return to a birthing plan and my follow-ups with the doctor for delivery! She was my comfort and solace during one of the scariest times in my life. I had a difficult labor too, no epidural (my choice) and induction, but she was there by my side supporting me every moment of the way for several hours. She helped ease my pain not just in moral support but through tactical exercises and positioning, and working with my midwives and doctors with a plan of action. Her rapport with the midwives, doctors, and hospital staff is excellent which is why she has an outstanding reputation. To top off everything she did for us, she also took the most amazing pictures at delivery that have helped complete our birthing story. Thank you Kelly for the comfort, expertise, voice of reason, and understanding you provided throughout this pregnancy and delivery and the one before, Your patience, willing to help, explanations about things happening to my body when I least expect, was what helped me get through some trying nights. You are a gem of a doula and so happy my sister and I have had the privilege of having our 4 babies born with you as their doula. We are forever grateful.
