Sam West is fantastic. She supported my husband and I at our daughter’s birth. From when I first met her, I was exceptionally impressed by how knowledgeable, professional and friendly Sam was. During the birth, Sam was highly competent, relaxed and reassuring, guiding us through possible labor positions, comforting me, helping my husband in terms of how best to support me, providing information, and ultimately, proving to be much more fully present, knowledgeable and supportive in guiding me through pushing than the labor and delivery nurse was. I ended up needing an unplanned ceserean - Sam was there throughout. In looking back at the experience my husband and I both agreed that we are not sure how we would have made through the birth without her. I cannot recommend her more highly.
