I was extremely fortunate to work with Chris as the doula for my last birth. She was a valuable mentor, resource, and "mirror," so to speak, as we worked through potential challenges and options during the prenatal period. Chris was incredibly calm and ready with practical help from the time she arrived in the labor process (even though we weren't 100% certain that it wasn't prodromal labor) through the completion of the birth. Her purposefulness and serenity as we moved from uncertainty to levels of intensity that were beyond thought were remarkable, and I would hope that every birthing person could enjoy such labor support.
