Steph was really great to work with. We first met her during the Hypnobirthing course. She is an excellent faciliatator who is full of knowledge about the birthing process and how to use the hypnobirthing techniues to help the process run more smoothly and easily. After the course we felt more confident and assured that we could successfully have a home birth. We then hired Steph to be our doula durin the birth. We met with her twice before the birth to prepare and talk about what we really needed from her during the birth but also how we wanted the birthing room to look and feel. During the birth Steph came and showed up before the midwifes. She was an excellent coach during the birth i that she was right beside me and verbally instructing me the entire which helped me to focus on going forward towards birthing th baby (versus focusing on the pain or intensity). The labour ended up being only 3 hrs and 40 mins and I think this was expedited due to using the hypnobirthing techniques and focusing on opening to the baby coming. Steph has a down to earth easy going genuine personality and a very warm embrace. I would definately use her again for support if I have another child.
