My wife and I have used the services of a Doula for both births. Maria was our Doula for baby number two. Having a Doula for our first seemed like a strange concept and I was uncertain of the role they would take. I didn’t want to be replaced either. I had an open mind and boy was I glad we used the services of a Doula. Maria was kind, gentle, tough when needed, punctual, on time and always available. My wife was much more relaxed knowing we had a team at birth as was I. When you’re in the delivery room there’s lots of action happening and it’s fantastic to have another person for support.
