My husband and I hired Kelly to assist with our labor and delivery for our first child. I knew I wanted to deliver in a hospital, however, it was really important to me to have the most natural experience as possible and avoid any interventions, especially a c-section (unless in need of an emergency, of course). Friends of ours recommended Kelly to assist us in carrying out our birth plan, and my husband and I repeatedly say how Kelly was worth EVERY penny.
Kelly has so much experience working with several hospitals and providers in the Valley. When we had our first meeting with Kelly, I was uneasy about the doctor and hospital I had chosen; Kelly instead gave her experiences working with my doctor and hospital and recommended a midwife and hospital that better suited our preferences and what we were looking for in our pregnancy and childbirth experiences. I can't say enough how this advice truly changed our experience for the better.
Additionally, Kelly not only prepped us with what to expect during labor, she was actually so hands on while I was going through painful contractions, literally! I did not receive an epidural, and instead referred to Kelly as my epidural! She worked with my midwife and the hospital to ensure that I got a delivery room with a bathtub, which was a huge help in reducing the pain and pressure of my contractions. She took INCREDIBLE photos documenting the birth of our baby boy, which we will cherish forever. And she even helped me with nursing my baby for the first time.
Kelly really cared to take the time to establish a relationship with us and let us know that we could call her for anything at anytime. Having Kelly on our team was the best decision we made! I'm convinced she is the reason our birth plan was carried out perfectly and we will absolutely hire Kelly for our future babies!
