I feel so fortunate to have found Celia to support me as a doula during the birth of my second daughter. She has this calming presence that made me feel safe, supported and cared for through my birth center birth despite at times feeling out of control. I cannot imagine having the same positive, strong, birth experience without her support. Even with a wonderfully supportive partner and two great midwives, having the support of a doula like Celia is invaluable.
She went above and beyond to answer any questions, provide support materials, and be on call the day I went into labor. Not to mention the use of the Tens unit that she provided during labor. This unit helped so much with my posterior baby and back labor and actually made the labor feel quite manageable that it went much faster than I thought.
This was my second birth, but first with the support of a doula. If you're considering whether or not you may need a doula - from my experience, even with the best support from a partner and midwives, a doula provides that emotional and physical support that will get you through the hardest moments not just for you but for your partner too and is worth every penny.
I could not recommend Celia more, I feel so blessed to have found her.
