We had the honor and pleasure of having Kelly’s help for both of our children’s births (2014, 2016). During our first pregnancy, my husband and I decided that we really wanted to aim for a natural birth but also birth at a hospital with our obstetrician. Our OB/Gyn‘s office recommended a few doulas that they had previously worked with but after calling and speaking to them all, we decided that Kelly was the best fit for us and we were excited to meet with her. After meeting with Kelly, we were instantly comfortable with her extensive knowledge, experience and calm and reassuring demeanor. We knew we wanted her help througrout the entire exciting but unknown journey. Kelly answered all of our questions and had us reflect on what we wanted our birth to be like and what was important to us. Kelly’s recommendations and guidance throughout the pregnancy was an amazing adjunct to our obstetrician‘s advice. On the day our son was born, I texted Kelly in the wee hours of the morning for her guidance until we met her at the hospital a couple of hours later. My labor was intense and quick and Kelly was right there to reassure my husband and I. We couldn’t have been more relieved to have Kelly by our side during that time as well as 2 years later with our daughter‘s birth. Kelly is wonderful and knowledgeable and listened to our birthing requests. She took beautiful pictures and wrote very sweet birth stories for our children, that I treasure. The placental encapsulation and herbal soaks helped tremendously during my recovery. I cannot imagine our birthing journeys without Kelly!
