Though we were planning a home birth, we ended up in hospital. Ariel was with us ever step of the way. I cannot begin to express the gratitude I feel for her presence through my 24 hours of labour. From calling the midwife, to helping me through the car ride to the hospital, to physically and emotionally supporting me through hours of active labour, I honestly cannot thank her enough. She was the confidence and the reassuring eyes that my partner and I needed.
To us, having a doula isn’t just about having someone coach you through your first time, it’s about having someone in your corner for the journey.
