It was such a privilege to work with Ellie, we were so lucky to have her along on our pregnancy journey with my wife and I. I know that her hypno-birthing classes really helped put my wife at ease preparing for the birth, which consequently put me at ease. She was also our doula, and we both knew she had our back the whole way. Which was literally true once we got to the hospital. She arrived pretty much right after we got there. The only thing that got my wife through the contractions was to hang on me while Ellie would apply pressure to her low back. It was a silent dance we did as a trio (actually quartet, with baby too) every five minutes or so for hours. And that turned into Ellie and I each grabbing one of my wife’s legs once it came time for pushing the baby out. And in between Ellie made sure we had everything we needed. She made sure my wife was fully taken care of the whole time, which allowed me to be able to just focus on being present with her and the whole experience. All of this was brand new for me, and everything about Ellie's presence and demeanor made it possible for me to never once worry about anything going wrong. She created a whole atmosphere of relaxation the entire time. It all seemed so natural and easy, I actually couldn’t imagine going through all of that without Ellie there with us guiding us through.
