Testimonial for Heidi Biddle
We're so glad we had Heidi as our doula. I had been planning on having a natural, midwife assisted birth, but was told I couldn't work with the midwives at the clinic because of my gestational diabetes. My husband and I hoped that Heidi would be able to help us have as natural an experience as possible in the hospital. Heidi stepped in and gave us the tools we needed to communicate our wishes to the healthcare team, and was there to support us through the 50 hours it took us to get from premature rupture of membranes to the birth of our daughter. While she was invaluable in the hospital, Heidi's greatest gift to me was that she gave me the confidence I needed to approach the birth and my role as a new mother from a positive perspective. She helped ease my many doubts about the pregnancy and birth was there to help guide me through the first weeks of breastfeeding and managing a newborn. I would recommend her to anyone giving birth, but particularly to new mothers. We couldn't have done it without her.
