I would highly recommend Katie to anyone! I was expecting my third baby and was really interested in having a natural birth experience. My husband was skeptical and not very supportive because we had two pretty good experiences with an epidural. It was so helpful to meet with Katie before the birth and learn positions to help while in labor, and to also give my husband more education on what physically happens with baby during birth. I wish I would have known more about my body for my other deliveries, and after my husband said that a natural birth just makes so much sense! I was so grateful that we had taken the time to meet with Katie! She is so knowledgeable and explains things in a way that simplifies that whole process! Though I wanted a natural birth, Katie was very supportive of whatever choices we were wanting to make with our birth. I know she would have supported me whether I went through with a natural birth or not- which was so comforting. I was able to tell her that I did not want an epidural, and she really helped support me in keeping focused on that goal.When it was time for birth, Katie was an incredible resource! I had never started labor on my own, and it was so nice to have someone to call and talk to. And when baby was on her way, Katie was right there! She stepped right in and helped support my body through contractions, and she helped show my husband how to support me so that he was involved as well. She supported me at home and when the time came for us to move to the hospital she was right there. The nurses had some suggestions, but they were distracted with different hospital protocols. So it was so amazing to have Katie there to be able to focus on me and really give my husband and I some direction and guidance. I can truly say that our natural birth experience has been my favorite birth so far, and having Katie there was a Huge part of that! Definitely worth the time and money to have her with you!
