I wanted a natural birth and had heard that having a Doula helps decrease the likelihood of having a medicated birth. I have high anxiety in general and so I wanted a person who could calm me down and who knew the "in's and outs" of labor. My husband is pretty cheap so he didn't want a Doula but he figured any money would be well spent to take away my anxiety. A friend recommended Ashlee and after a consultation my husband and I were all in!
My husband was actually the one who convinced me that Ashlee was "the one" for us. She was incredible! Such an encouragement, support, kind and a wealth of knowledge and resources.
She went above and beyond to care for both myself and my husband through the entire process. The other day I said "If we have another kid, I want to have a Doula again" to which my husband responded "I agree, but if we have another kid, I want Ashlee to be our Doula again".
She will forever to be part of our lives and our son's story!
