A friend sent me Lisa's info about 3 weeks post partum when I texted her late one night asking about nipple agony, mastitis and general panic. It was a Sunday afternoon when I called Lisa, thinking she would return my call in several days. However a mere hour later, she called me. She spoke to me for nearly two hours. She never rushed our conversation, she let me talk and cry and tell her everything. She asked me several questions about what was going on, and what I needed. She then reffered me to a clinic where I ultimately got the medical support I needed as well as hands on Breastfeeding support. Had Lisa not called me back that Sunday afternoon, I can truly say I don't think I would have continued breastfeeding. I hadn't slept, my breasts were still engorged and I was at my wits end. My doctor was ready to cut my breast open to alleviate the blockage. Had Lisa not called I wouldn't have had the time to tell someone how I was feeling and what I truly needed. I wouldn't have realized I was doing everything right. I wouldn't have called the clinic for an appointment-which I got two days later, and I wouldn't have found the courage within myself to stick to my intentions, trust my intuition and stay the course. Lisa was kind, professional, knowledgeable and above all else, patient. She is truly meant for this work. Two years later, I am still breastfeeding my babe, and it was that pivotal moment with Lisa that I attribute to our success. Thank You Lisa.
