My husband and I first met with Wendy late in my first pregnancy. Over the next couple of meetings, she walked us through what to expect in the remaining weeks, for the birth, and for the first few weeks post-partum. Wendy was thorough and supportive in answering all of our questions and addressing our concerns. She presented evidence-based research on a number of the topics that interested us, shared her personal and professional opinions, and respected our decisions when we differed on the decisions that would be right for us. Wendy was responsive and available to our questions not only in our scheduled meetings but also via text. She showed active interest in my progress during the pregnancy, especially as I approached nearing my due date and once I had passed it. I ended up needing to be induced, and Wendy kept in contact with my husband during that process and arrived at the hospital at just the right time. She helped keep the atmosphere calm and supportive in the delivery room and even assisted the nurses at times. She also gave my husband the opportunity to go out and get something to eat while she stayed in the room and kept me company during my labor. I would absolutely recommend Wendy to anyone looking for personalized Christian support during pregnancy and birth! She was easy to work with both in practical terms and in personality. My husband and I both felt so much more prepared for the birth of our first child and for the first few weeks after.
