I was so nervous about breastfeeding my second child because of a negative experience my first time, but after meeting with Maggie I quickly gained confidence. My husband and I discussed all the problems we had last time and what our goals were. Maggie addressed each concern, and I felt prepared and excited to start my breastfeeding journey differently this time. Maggie came to the hospital the morning after my son was born to help with his latch, then a week later when I had some concerns she came for a home visit to weigh my son and provide more reassurance. She also gave me more support and tips via text and walked me through every little worry. There were times I wanted to give up, but Maggie always made me feel like I was doing a great job and gave me the encouragement I needed to continue through rough patches in the early weeks. Now I'm 6 months in and going strong! I'm so happy I was able to have the bonding experience I wanted with my son.
