This was my sixth baby and my second time using Caroline as my doula. You would think that after having five babies, I would know what to expect with baby number six, but every baby seems to have their own individual birth story. This baby was no exception. I thought I was going into labor in the morning but everything slowed down and by 4 o'clock in the afternoon I was getting discouraged. Caroline was so encouraging and just told me to relax and see how things went. No pressure, just let my body do what it needed to do. When I finally did go in to labor it was super quick. Caroline was ready at a moments notice. She helped me stay so calm and relaxed. She knew exactly when to step in and when to just quietly wait at my side. I appreciated her being so present and yet allowing my husband to be equally involved. This was my most smooth delivery yet. I really believe that Caroline played a huge part in the reason I was able to stay calm and have the most relaxed labor and delivery possible. I truly enjoyed the entire experience and I am so grateful for all her care!
