Our prenatal visits helped us establish a repoire and helped my partner and I prepare to achieve my goal of an unmedicated birth. She helped my partner and I make important decisions regarding our birth plan and potentially inducing labor by providing us with evidence-based research and walking us through the pros and cons of our options. During the birth, she was unfailingly attentive and encouraging, acting as my advocate and support person in myriad ways, from keeping me hydrated to helping me manage pain with various techniques. She never left my side during the intense stages of my labor and delivery. Anne played a pivotal role in helping me have a natural birth. Both before and after the birth, Anne consistently responded promptly to my calls, emails and texts, and after the birth, she was proactive about reaching out to me to check on me and offer support and affirmation. She went above and beyond in terms of making herself available and helping us via phone and in our home during our difficult first few postpartum weeks. Both in terms of birth and postpartum support, in sum, Anne made me feel prepared, secure, comfortable, and capable. She's a great choice of doula.
