I can't say enough good things about Erin! I wasn't even sure if I wanted a doula at first and my husband was definitely skeptical about it. Our first son was born via cesarean birth due to being breech and I knew, even while still in the operating room, that I wanted a VBAC more than anything for our next birth. After finding out that a doula increased my VBAC chances, I knew I wanted to look into it. We set up a meeting with Erin and immediately I was blown away with how comfortable I felt with her. I had a hard time imagining that I would find someone that I felt so good about being a part of such a vulnerable, intimate and raw time. She is incredibly knowledgeable and was able to help me navigate through everything that came up during my pregnancy and birth. I felt so supported from the moment we made the decision to hire Erin to be our doula. She was always available when I had a question or wanted to update her on my pregnancy. The night I went into labor, I called her to let her know I thought I was in early labor, and she made me feel so calm and safe knowing that she was a phone call away whenever I was ready for her support. When my labor progressed to the point where I was so uncomfortable and didn't know what do to, my husband called her and she came over in the middle of the night to help me labor at home before heading to the hosital. She helped support me physically with counter pressure on my hips and hot rice packs across my belly and mentally by calming me down and reassuring me that I could do this. I didn't always know what I needed during labor, but Erin seemed to know and just did it. My VBAC experience was so amazing and healing and I owe much of that to having Erin by my side! She supported both me and my husband once we called for her and remained by my side for the rest of my 18 hour labor and until after baby was in my arms. We are so greatful and thankful that she was apart of one of the most special moments of our lives!
