I chose Beth as my doula for the birth of my first child and am so glad I did! I couldn't imagine going through that labor without her... It was a long one and she was with us through the entire process. I can't say how much I appreciated having a second support person in the room... especially one that has attended many births. Her knowledge was SO beneficial. This made us feel at peace when nurses and doctors were coming in and out.
She helped me create a birth plan and prepared me long before labor started. I didn't know I was as capable and strong as I became during labor, and that wouldn't have happened without her and my husband coaching me. Beth was also great with my husband, standing in the background when he was handling things fine and then also helping him to better attend to me if he had questions or didn't know what to do.
Overall the birth was a wonderful experience. We had a healthy 7lb 4oz baby boy! I'm thankful that I decided to have a doula and even more thankful that I found Beth!!
