Laurie was my doula for my first (and only) daughter Emilia in 2007. My active labor came upon me very quickly and my partner and I were like deer in headlights; no amount of information or books had prepared us for the actual act I’ll never forget the peace and reassurance that came when Laurie entered our home. She completely soothed me and supported me in a very natural way.
