Testimonial for Stacy Higginbotham
Stacy was able to help me cope through the hardest stage of labor. My labor moved quickly and the hospital staff thought it wasn't true labor. By the time I convinced them it was real labor, my pain was severe. Stacy was able to arrive in time to provide support when needed most. Working with my husband, they were able to support me though the tough moments and allowed me to achieve my goal of an unmediated birth. I was ready to give up and get an epidural, and she continued to be encouraging. My recovery this time was so much easier than with my first born, in which I had a medicated birth.
I also love the beautiful pictures she captured of those precious moments. It was nice not having to worry about getting pictures, and just being able the enjoy those precious first moments with my new son and husband. I also appreciated meeting with Stacy prior to birth and her answering my questions. She was easy to communicate with via text leading up to labor as well. We had hired another doula prior to learning about Stacy. Our other doula had a scheduling conflict since I went past my due date, and Stacy graciously stepped in at the last moment and worked within our current budget.
