For years, my family has gone to Kari for massage therapy, and so I knew she would be a good fit for us as a doula. Kari is such a kind-hearted and generous person in general, and this certainly translates through to her client relationships. As a doula, she was extremely attentive, going above and beyond my expectations at every stage. She helped us through creating a birth plan, always had helpful suggestions for easing the aches and pains of pregnancy, and has a thorough body of knowledge related to all things labor, birth, and postpartum—and if ever she wasn’t able to answer a question, she researched it and got back to me quickly.
I felt incredibly supported by Kari in the late stages of pregnancy when I had “false” labor pains for several weeks. She helped me feel especially empowered in the days leading up to the birth—though she steered me toward natural birth choices, I felt safe with her judgment-free approach and support of my ultimate decisions…And let me tell you…it’s a wonderful perk having an amazing massage therapist by your side during the pain of active labor. Kari was also consistently there for me following the birth through a couple postpartum health struggles. I wholeheartedly recommend Kari as a birth doula.
