Nancy is one of a kind! She was my doula for the home births of both my boys. Nancy’s presence brought a sense of tranquility to our birth space, her presence made me feel at ease. Nancy’s eyes are hypnotic, and by using the focus technique, she was able to guide me though each contraction by grasping my gaze. Nancy would remind me to embrace the contraction and relax my muscles, especially my perineum. She would breath with me when I needed it and guide me when my breathing needed to change. Nancy was a great coach during pushing. Nancy was very good at engaging with my family and birth team, everyone had a role and worked as a team. My husband felt very supported by Nancy and the two of them made an amazing labour support team!
Nancy provided tons of comfort techniques throughout my labour and I was able to use her TENS machine. Nancy also provided the mental/emotional support that I needed to get through the labour at times that I didn’t think I could cope any longer. Nancy is patient, charismatic, tranquil, wise, friendly and engaging!
I can’t imagine how my birth experiences would have been without Nancy. I recommend her 100%!
