My husband and I hired Brenda Giroumetakis in summer 2016. Brenda was wonderful to work with before, during and after the birth of my son. Her experience and knowledge was extremely helpful. I was 41 weeks when I delivered and she helped me ask the doctor the right questions about being overdue and the anxiety that went with that. During the labour she was a great support to me and my husband. She was able to give him direction on how to assist me and allow him to take some breaks so he was able to be a better help to me. She also knew how things worked in the hospital which was really helpful. My goal was to have a natural delivery without medications and the least amount of medical interventions which with Brenda's help I was able to do that. The experience was exactly what I had planned and wanted. She also provided so many additional pieces that were fantastic including but not limited to pictures during labour and delivery, birth plan, birth story and her amazing bag of tools that she brought to the hospital. It was also nice having someone to text before and after to ask questions or give referrals to me. Having the extra support went a long way. I am super glad that I hired Brenda as my Doula as she exceeded my expectations throughout the process. I would highly recommend her to others.
