Hiring Fiona was one of the best things that I did to prepare for the birth of my first child. Within 20 minutes of meeting her I knew that she had to be my doula! She is such a nurturing, kind & supportive person, and it oozes out of her. Fiona is extremely professional and yet has a way of making you feel like family.
As part of her services you have access to her prenatal library, which I took advantage of. I was also treated to the use of her TENS machine from 37 weeks onwards, so I could try it out and see if I would like to use it during labour. (I did.)
From the time Fiona arrived during my labour she was by my side, holding my hand through contractions, guiding my husband in how to help me, encouraging me, doing hip squeezes, and being my voice and advocate…and a heck of a lot more. She was the reason I was able to get through 18 hours of un-medicated (back) labour. I could not have done it without Fiona. She will be one of the first people I call when I get my next positive pregnancy test.
