It has taken me awhile to fully process, embrace and articulate my second son's birth (he's 10 weeks) and my experience with Jade all of which were amazing and profound and fortunately healthy and quick. I feel beyond blessed that Jade was with us every step of the way as both our doula and full disclosure our friend. One of the things I love most about working with Jade is that she is not only extremely knowledgeable and up to date on the latest evidenced based research, but she supports mamas (and their husbands/partners), to make the best decision for them and their family without judgement. She has a unique ability to read people and their needs, whether it be encouraging a calm and relaxed atmosphere, providing gentle or sometimes more suggestive guidance (she's a great advocate) or backing off completely. Jade's constant (and I mean constant, she was always texting me to check-in or respond to my questions)support allowed me to feel strong and empowered, let go of some emotional and physical barriers that we felt were potentially delaying my L&D all of which led to a birth that I didn't even think was possible -- I caught my baby!!! Postnatally Jade was also the calming, reassuring and knowledgeable presence I needed as we encountered breastfeeding and postpartum issues and helped me connect with additional supports (Dr. for tongue tie, pelvic floor issues, etc.).
