I hired Jessica in 2013 as a birth and postpartum doula. Being a nurse, I was overly confident and told her we were hiring her mostly to support my husband (HA!!).
The support I received was invaluable. i had a difficult postpartum period (c-section issues and breastfeeding problems) and she was always available for solid practical advice. I would hear back from her almost immediately every time I reached out to her. I still credit her as one of the main reasons I continued breastfeeding for as long as I did. Being trained under Jack Newman she was able to help me overcome my numerous breastfeeding problems at home without having to go sit at a clinic waiting to be seen. A definite bonus.
I found that the whole birthing experience and postpartum period was one that was hazy and bewildering so it was relieving to have an anchor such as her to help me get through it.
