We had Jessica as our doula for our second birth. I also had a doula for my first birth. My labour was super fast. Jessica got to our home at 4 am and quickly realized based on the pattern of my contractions that I was having back labour and that baby needed help turning. She had me do special exercises between contractions to get baby the right way. She knew when we should go to the hospital and boy was she right! We arrived at the hospital at 5:30 am and baby was born at 6:30. Jessica helped me stay ahead of the contractions using my breathing. She supported me emotionally and physically. And then after our daughter was born she helped with nursing. Post partum she responded to texts promtply and visited again to continue to help with nursing.
I chose Jessica because she is also not judgmental. She has seen it all and will not push a mother for one type of birth over another. She really is just there to support and help.
