Testimonial for Jessica Cherniak

Jess was my doula for my 2nd and 4th babies (1 and 3 weren't born in Toronto). Jess is the reason my 11 pound son was able to be born naturally without trauma to either of us. She patiently coached me through breastfeeding difficulties without judgement. With my 4th she was my voice when after many hours of labour and only 4cm dilation the pitocin caused too much discomfort for me to think through. Thanks to Jess I always felt safe, informed, and in control. Jess has a natural gift of connecting with babies and knowing what they need to feel calm and safe which in turn makes the Mom calm and confident. I cannot remember the name of any OB or nurse in the delivery room with any of my children but I will always remember Jess's peaceful presence and empowering demeanor.
