Rootmama Maternal Care and my doula Freya were great! Freya is very knowledgeable in her field as a doula and also displays a genuine love for her role as a doula. Not only is she an expert in her role she is socially knowledgeable with the medical professionals in our area, which helped me with exploring options that met my criteria. My expectations consisted of having the most natural friendly birth hospital, doctor, and doula to help me have a successful, safe, unmedicated VBAC after 2 c-sections. I was determined not to have a c-section again, and Freya helped me emotionally to keep that mindset and physically to prepare for a smooth labor and delivery. She also provided my husband with some very informative educational material on childbirth and other related subjects so that he could help me emotionally and physically as well. I am very thankful and grateful to have had Freya as my doula, without her warm calming presence and expertise my VBAC could have gone the exact opposite of my expectations. I am very grateful that this birthing experience this time around resulted in me feeling more rewarded, positive, and accomplished in knowing that the next time around I can do it again the way that God intended, naturally!
