I should start by saying that I was pretty skeptical about having a doula for my natural childbirth. My husband and I took childbirth classes and I decided I needed a doula to feel totally prepared. I called Kindle toward the very end of my pregnancy and chatted with her and really liked her personality. She was really laid back and not overbearing, yet extremely knowledgeable. My husband and I met up with her and discussed our birth plan. He liked her a lot too so we decided to habe her be our doula.
During my labor I didn't want anyone to really talk to me and she was patient and attentive the entire time. She tried all different types of positions to help me through my contractions. I had absolutely no idea how much I needed a doula until I went into labor. I know for a fact I couldn't have done it without her. She also helped my husband to be involved as well which was really important to me. She never left my side and encouraged me so much the whole time which helped me to stick with my birth plan.
After delivery, she helped me to breastfeed for the first time. She showed me how to make sure the baby had a good latch and what to look for. I ended up having no trouble breasffeeding which helped me a lot.
I can't say enough great things about Kindle and I highly recommend her!
