She was not only supportive and encouraging during labour but also a grounding force and an amazing source of strength for both my husband and myself. We met Kathleen for the first time when I was already 5 days overdue (my original doula was unable to attend our birth) and just 3 days before the birth of our daughter. Not once did Kathleen sound frustrated or inconvenienced at joining our team last minute. In her true caring and professional way she made sure to get to know us and our wishes for our birth as quickly as possible but without it feeling rushed. After our first meeting she already felt like an old friend!
