From the moment we met Liz, we knew that she was a very special person and was the one we wanted there for the birth of our baby. I ended up having a pretty stressful and complicated pregnancy and Liz was the best support that I had throughout it. She always made herself available, was a great listener, shared her knowledge and experiences, provided invaluable emotional support, and was a great sounding board for decisions during my prenatal care. If Liz didn't know the answer to something, she was always quick to research and network - whether it was for referrals or for specific medical issues.
I was really hoping for a VBAC; however, our second baby was also breech (!). Liz was very helpful and knowledgeable in giving us suggestions to try to encourage our baby to turn and link us with the best additional providers (e.g., chiropractor). Ultimately, our baby didn't turn and we scheduled a C-section. I was concerned when we were deciding whether to hire a doula that it be a waste of money if I needed another C-sec. Well, we feel so fortunate that Liz was there with us throughout that day! She helped us keep a light mood while we anxiously waited, worked collaboratively with the medical staff and encouraged me to address all of our questions/concerns, was a calming presence in the OR, and took a ton of pictures of our son’s arrival! Liz’s presence was especially crucial post-partum. She knew that I was nervous about getting off to a good start breastfeeding due to difficulties with my first child, so she stayed with us for multiple feeding attempts – helping with latching and was incredibly encouraging. During our post-partum visit at our home, she was also wonderful with our 2yo, helping her adjustment to the new baby. If you’re considering hiring Liz, you won’t regret it! She’s one of the most positive, caring, passionate, dedicated, calming, and supportive people you’ll ever have the pleasure of knowing!
