This is long, long, long overdue...
Chris Ghali went above and beyond her doula duties. She was everything I was looking for in a doula and more. Towards the end of my pregnancy, she started having some pretty serious bouts of morning sickness as she was in her first trimester of pregnancy. She was worried that she wouldn't be able to be there for me during my birth, so she called on a back-up doula friend of hers. This was really hard for me. I already felt like I had a connection with Chris, which if you meet her you will understand, it's hard not to. She has a very friendly demeaner. I met her doula friend, who happened to also be amazing, but I still felt uncomfortable with the situation. Chris was very attentive to my needs and concerns. She decided that she would be at my birth, no matter what, and she would bring the backup doula along with her. At this point, I felt like I won the jackpot. Not only would I have one great doula by my side, but two! Having Chris by my side during those laboring hours was crucial. She has an overwhelming sense of calm about her that helped me and my husband immensely. I didn't realize how powerful having a doula by my side would make me feel. There's something about having a strong female presence with you while you are going through the toughest, most incredible time of your life. I would highly recommend Chris Ghali to anyone seeking a doula. If I ever have the privilege of having another child, I hope Chris will be by my side.
