I had a scheduled c-section, so my relationship with Brenda was not what a typical doula and mom would look like. Brenda was very supportive of my scheduled c-section and aided my preparation by helping me identify all the questions I needed to ask my doctor, helped me think about what I wanted the process to look like, and did research into pre and post care that would help me to recuperate as fast as possible. She found books and articles to help me prepare and took the time to review the processes with me. Her enthusiasm and care for me during this time was immeasurable and so greatly appreciated. I wish I had had her with me for my first pregnancy! Brenda approaches her role from a caring, compassionate, non-judgemental stance and you can feel the love and support every step of the way.
