Having Amanda as my Doula for my second child was a GREAT experience! Once again, as with my first, I was induced- but this time I wanted to try to get through a longer length of time without any pain medication or epidural if possible. I believe that it was because of Amanda's help and her constant encouragement that enabled me to make it almost the whole way without anything. I did end up choosing to have the epidural-but was so far along that it never did set in fully before I felt the urge to push. And even being able to get that far- I know it's because of the support of Amanda. She was able to help me and my husband work through contractions and her suggestions with sitting on a birth ball or standing some I'm sure were what helped this labor move along so quickly. She met us first thing that morning and stayed until after baby and I were settled into my room. Thank you so much Amanda for being such a wonderful help to us!
