I had a very long labor (48 hours), and Katie was so supportive to both my husband and me -- making sure we remembered to eat and rest, offering gentle suggestions for pain relieving techniques and keeping me comfortable and at ease. She negotiated with medical staff, asserting my wishes and well-being when neither my husband nor I had the stamina or clarity to do so. Katie was 100% for us, in the moment, and totally present.
