Maegan was a wonderful doula! She was there to discuss and help me through any issues, questions, or concerns I had while pregnant with my first child. I had planned a natural childbirth, but unfortunately was not able to experience one. This was of no fault of Maegan. I was 41 weeks 6 days when they opted for a last minute c-section. It was a blessing in diguise, due to complications only known once my doctor operated, my daughter and I could have died during a vaginal delivery.
Maegan was always available to answer my questions, or just listen when I had a bad experience with a doctor or a bad day. she always made sure she got me the most current and up to date information and even employed her vast network of medical midwives and doulas to offer their opinions or to clearify some question we had. She was a wealth of knowledge when it came to natural childbirth, breast feeding, and anything relating to the world of child birth and delivery. When it came to my labor, which I labored all natural for over 12 hours, Maegan was there to help support my husband and I. We were coached in the Bradley Method, which we highly recommend. She was encouraging and supportive. My husband loved her, in his words, " She let me shine and be there for you." He didn't have to worry about anything, she took care of it all. Between them both, I was able to labor longer. I would have given up much sooner had it not been for them. She is very respectful of opinions and allows you to make up your own mind without judgment. We highly recommend her as a doula and felt so comfortable having her there for a very intimate and special time during our lives.
