We were blessed to have Amy as a doula for the births of both our children. Our first birth in 2011 was a planned hospital birth with very high hopes of a natural delivery. When the doctor told me I needed a c-section my hopes were completely crushed. Utter disappointment flooded the room as tears filled the eyes of everyone present. If it weren't for Amy I'm not sure how I would have coped with the reality that, despite my best efforts, our baby needed this. Her strength and encouragement was unwavering. Fast forward two years - our son joined us in the most healing, amazing home birth. Let's just say this birth was a lot more fun (yes, fun!) for everyone involved. Amy was there for us through the most traumatic and most joyful moments in our lives. You may not always have the exact birth you desire, but you can have the support to face any situation. Amy truly has a servant's heart. She is compassionate, insightful, and genuine. We will invite her to share in all of our births!
