Testimonial for Ame Solomon, RN, IBCLC

I had the great fortune of hiring Amé Solomon as my doula in 2010. My family was lucky to find a strong, knowledgeable and caring doula like Amé, with whom we immediately felt at ease and quickly trusted. Amé helped me and my family in the following ways: She was always available to talk to when I had any questions over the course of my pregnancy, post-partum and of course while I was in labor too. Her experience and caring manner provided me with helpful information and her comforting way always alleviated any anxieties I was feeling. Amé was a powerful advocate for me when it came to navigating options and choices along the road from pre-natal to post-natal care. I am grateful for the guidance and support this provided me at such an important time in my life. Amé always had a warm inviting tone each time I called her that made me know she genuinely cared for me and was very happy to help me with whatever I needed. When we met in person and she came to my home, instantly I, my son and my husband could feel her warmth and concern and her big hugs are wonderful. She often brought helpful items from tea, to books to inspiring quotes and tokens. She seemed to always pull out some magic from her special bag of tricks. Amé was a tremendous support to our family as we transitioned from a family of three to a family of four. She was a very special friend and support figure to our older son as he adjusted to having a new baby brother. This was a stressful time to see our son struggling while also caring for a newborn. Amé helped us implement helpful strategies that helped our son with his new role of being a big brother. Amé is trustworthy, reliable, consistent, and brings her full attention to her work. Her experience, knowledge and compassion make her an invaluable resource, advocate, listener, and caregiver. Her services as a doula were extremely meaningful to me as I experienced pregnancy and the birth of our son.
