As a first-time mom, I really loved working with Dominique. She was consistently available, attentive, and really committed to empowering me throughout my birth experience. I found her to be an exceptional listener, nonjudgmental, and with a big sense of humor — in fact, she was the only doula we spoke with who talked about wanting birth and postpartum to include joy and levity, not just support.
I had a long labor (about 24 hours from my water breaking to an unplanned C-section) and Dominique was there with the same attentiveness and care throughout. She provided hands-on comfort during active labor, was an active part of my team during pushing, and stayed with us during my C-section to capture photos. She also assisted me immediately afterward as I began chestfeeding and prepped to transfer to my next room.
I’m so grateful to have had Dominique with us as part of my care team. She brought compassion, humor, calm, and genuine support to an experience that didn’t go quite as planned, and I would wholeheartedly recommend her.
