As a first time mom, I had some significant anxieties around giving birth - so my husband and I decided to seek a doula to help support the process. It was one of the best things we did! From our initial interview, to our in person planning meeting and the actual birth itself, Chris was the best cheerleader, educator, and guide. She helped us craft our birth plan, gave helpful suggestions to prepare for labor and delivery, stayed caught up on my progress after my induction and gave advice on how to move forward as my progression stalled. When she came to join us at the hospital, Chris helped set the mood in the space and provided resources to help cope with contractions. My whole family loved her and we are so thankful she was on my team!! She truly loves what she does and her care and compassion were vital in getting my baby earthside. We also had support from Chris as a lactation consultant, so she visited after we came home to help us with that as well. Having a baby is such a vulnerable and sacred act, and we are so thankful to have Chris' warmth and love poured over us in the process. ??
