We hired Cindy as our night nanny, and she supported us from when our son (our second child) was 6 days old. We trusted her so much that after 6 months of nights, she stayed on days until daycare at 14 months.
Cindy is an expert with newborns. Even as a second-time mom, I was impressed by her knowledge. She quickly debugged feeding issues — breastfeeding advice and adjustments, and bottles and nipples that fit better when we transitioned to formula. She was thorough with baths and baby massages, careful with cord care, and full of recommendations on formulas, sleep sacks, and bibs. She has many ways to burp babies and help them pass gas, preventing spit-up and fussiness. She also told us about preemie twins who quickly caught up in growth under her care.
Overnight, she was so attentive to feeding, diapers, and soothing that even though we had a baby camera, I stopped checking it — I could rest knowing she was on top of it.
Just as important, Cindy supports parents' choices without judgment. At 6 months, she thought our sleep consultant's 7pm bedtime and 11-hour night were too much, yet she followed our sleep-training plan and adjusted the sleep setup as directed, without complaint.
Always on time — texting if traffic would delay her 5-10 minutes — she never took a sick day despite our household getting sick repeatedly from our preschooler. I recommended her to two close friends who had babies within months of me, one a first-time mom and one a second-time mom. She gave both invaluable advice, and one still calls her for part-time care when their regular nanny is sick or traveling.
For families considering Cindy for birth or postpartum doula work, I can't speak to her birth support, but her expertise clearly shines postpartum. We ended only for daycare socialization, and we would absolutely recommend her, especially for postpartum and overnight care.
