When I first approached Megan, I was keen to have a planned induction, and any other interventions that were offered. The planned induction was so that I could feel a sense of control over birth, and timing of my baby's arrival...Megan was the only doula out of the handful that I reached out to to respond to me. She met me over facetime, and did not judge my plans.
Megan was happy to help us with whatever birth plan we wanted to commit to, but was instrumental in helping me to feel strong enough to try a more "natural" approach. She was so gentle with her encouragements.
Megan eventually guided me and my husband through an unmedicated hospital birth. She encouraged me and my husband to try different positions, and never got in the way. She supported us throughout the entire process, and was very considerate of our special time together. Megan's confidence in me, and her gentle reassurance were exactly what I needed to make my birth experience positive. She made us feel cared for and safe.
I specifially reached out to Megan because of her experience and expertise with lactation. She was also so helpful in that department, showing us how to hand express pre-natally, and then eventually helping with our first latch. She was a huge support pre-birth and post partum. Highly recommend Megan.
