Testimonial for Morgan Hayward, CD(DONA)
I'm embarrassed it's taken me until now to write this — my son was born in April 2024 — but the gratitude hasn't faded one bit, so here it is.
This was my second birth. My first was during COVID, when only my husband was allowed in the hospital, and I went through it without the support I'd wanted. This time was peaceful in a way the first simply wasn't, and Morgan and her partner are a huge part of why.
Morgan worked with a partner, another doula, and before the birth they both visited us at home and made sure we knew we'd have coverage no matter when things started. That promise held. Throughout my pregnancy, Morgan and her partner answered every text, at every hour, and after the birth they kept following up until they knew I was truly okay.
When the time came, it was Morgan's partner who was with us for the birth itself because of timing — and, it was a great experience. Because we'd met and talked all along, having her there felt completely seamless.
